Sex in the City 2

Every once in awhile something comes along in this world that sends me into an absolute frenzy! At this moment it happens to be the second installment of fashion-heaven..."Sex in the City 2"!!! Seeing the previews, watching the advertisements, and the anticipation itself caused me to scream(very loudly) with excitement. Although I am far from a movie critic I had to share my take on the film.

I made sure I didn't read any of the critic's reviews before watching the film. I didn't want my expectations of the film to be ruined by someone else's opinion. The day finally came when me and my girlfriends got together to slip away in our own world and witness the fashion miracles that took place in the film. I must say I was not disappointed in any way, if anything I got more fashion out of the film than expected. The opening scene automatically set the tone of the film with Carrie appearing on the screen looking strong and glamourus as ever wearing a white Halston dress, Chanel clutch, and gold-sequence sparkling Christian Louboutin shoes(which I would break ANY law to own). The entire wardrobe in the film was absolutely GENIUS. From the extravagant gowns, to the bold jewelry, the suits the men wore, and most importantly THE SHOES!

Lets face it, if it weren't for the infamous Carrie Bradshaw, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin(Red-Bottoms) wouldn't be the household names that they are today. Therefore it is only right that the ladies wore these shoes throughout the film. I salivated at the exclusive choices worn by the cast! One could only wonder how it feels to occupy so many wonderful pairs of shoes in a lifetime. Needless to say there were plenty of "shoegasms"...notably the best ones I've ever had!

What else could have made this film even more great you ask? Well how about an interesting, funny, and at times heart wrenching storyline! YES! Not only did the fashion exceed my expectations...the film itself actually did. Each character had new challenges to face and old habits to deal with while looking fabulous! If there was ever a franchise that has influenced slews of women, fashionistas, designers, models, and men all over the world it is "Sex in the City". Do yourself a favor go see the film and get familiar with the girls if you haven't already...but I'm sure you have.
